Species: Brook, Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout

Shadow Lake Banff Alberta
Shadow Lake is located up the redearth creek pathway from hi-way 1. There is a lodge or a backcountry campground about 1km from the lake. The lake is quite sizeable but is silty with runoff at least earlier in the summer.

The only species I caught in this lake were Brook Trout but apparently rainbows and cuts exist here. It took me a while to find a good spot to fish. Access around most of the lake shore is overgrown. When I did find a good spot fishing was active. The Brooks I caught in the lake were up to 15".
