Prairie Mountain Alberta Panoramic

Prairie Mountain isn't the tallest mountain in the area but its location just off the hi-way makes it an easy trail to visit even when winter gates are closed. The trail is basically straight up a forested ridge of the mountain. It could be hard for those who are out of shape because of the elevation gain in such a short distance. The trail itself it well established and recent trail work has cleared all the downed trees. From the top you view a 360 degree view of the area. If it’s clear you will be able to see the towers in Calgary as well. Prairie Mountian also boast a great view of the rest of the area.

To the left is Ing's Mine Ice Cave as viewed from the summit
