Forgetmenot Mountain Alberta

This trail involves fording the Elbow River. If you add a bit of time you can cross the suspension bridge and then cross the Big Elbow River before Little Elbow joins in. The trail heads up steeply at a cairn off the wildhorse trail. On the way up you are greeted by the tree of rocks (on the left). At the top the ridge the view is spectacular with fields of wildflowers. Heading along the ridge toward the Peak you drop a couple of times before the final accent. Pika's can be spotted in the lichen covered rocks.
