There are other ways in to this area of BC but the two most popular ways are via Bryant Creek and Sunshine Village. I choose the Bryant Creek way because it’s shorter. The trail starting off at Mount Shark trail head was easy and flat. It was a long haul though. I chose to enter via Assiniboine pass and exit via Wonder pass which I think it an excellent option allthough it adds elevation and distance. I also spent my first night at Og Lake campground and my second at Magog Lake campground to get some variety.

Both campgrounds were being upgraded with new tent pads and eating/storage areas. Og Lake campground is smaller and open while Magog is larger and treed. Trails in the area are very well maintained. The view from the "Nublet" trail is worth seeing (above). The area consists of Mount Assiniboine which is one of the highest peaks in the Rockies, several lakes which include fishing opportunities, glaciers, meadows/ flowers, larch forests, and interesting rock formations. Worth a visit!
